Little surpasses the pleasure of picking wildflowers on a summer afternoon. Foraging for wildflowers, grass plumes, and foliage greens offer a multitude of natural elements for the creative minded person.
One of the most inspiring aspects of wildcrafting is seeing the location and the surroundings of the collected specimen. Much of the joy of working with wildflowers comes from making arrangements that celebrate the spirit and beauty of the great outdoors.
"Beauty is Nature's brag, and must be shown..."
JOHN MILTON (1608-74)
Wildcrafting and foraging lets you discover a whole new world right outside your backdoor. The biggest secret to gathering is to "GO"....even when you don't know what you are looking for. I promise that if you take scissors or clippers along, you will not return empty handed. For more inspiration, look for my wildflower arrangement later this week.
