EARLY MORNING

In early dawn, misty fog rises above hay fields as clouds give way to clearing skies - locus blossoms flutter in the breeze filling the air with a whitewash of confetti and heavenly scented perfume - cattle graze contentedly in the vast meadows of the valley as I pause by the creek to bask in the peacefulness of this pastoral landscape.

Pausing a moment in this beautiful setting makes me grateful for this sliver of earth, protected by a cradle of Appalachian ridges and untouched by society's sprawling commercialism.  Of course, this valley is considered to be slow or in other words "behind the times," but that simply adds to the depth and wisdom this place has to offer.

Find a quiet place of solitude in your area and rest awhile.
