I look forward to seeing willow catkins every spring.  Like all willows,  pussy willow has very flexible branches for crafting wreaths, baskets and tall stemmed arrangements. Tomorrow, I'll show you an ikebana-style centerpiece showcasing the willow stems pictured above.  All willows work very well as everlastings, their woody branches dry effortlessly and remain intact for many years.  To encourage a plentiful supply of catkins each year: prune them annually.
