The Amish children are permitted two days off school to participate in corn-husking bees and help their families or neighbors fill the corn cribs before winter. If it rains, these days are rescheduled for fairer weather. While I wasn't able to get photos of the husking bees, I got a few shots of Amish farms and forgotten countrysides when running errands in the valley. Perhaps these views will bring a refreshing pause in your day.
In this valley, the plain folks demonstrate a slower-paced, sustainable lifestyle, which is simply inspiring.
