ST. JOHN'S WORT OIL

St. John's Wort is a remedy for many health issues and in my opinion, every home should have some form of this amazing herb in the medicine cupboard. St. John's Wort can be taken as a medicinal tea, tincture, or a healing oil.  I am partial to the oil and use it as a massaging treatment for joint pain in the hands and feet.   Here is my simple method for making this healing oil.

ST. JOHN'S WORT OIL INSTRUCTIONS

Pick the flowers in the warm sun and place in a jar.

Pour olive oil over them until the flowers are covered.

Put on the lid or stopper and allow to stand on a sunny window sill for several weeks.

When the oil becomes red, strain the flowers through a cheesecloth.

Store in dark bottles.

MEDICINAL USES: This oil soothes sunburn, scalds, skin sores, burns, achy joints, and arthritic nodules.

Life is better with herbs,
