SORGHUM SWAG

The rich tones of burgundy, brown, and gold represent fall.  This beautiful Sorghum Swag takes only a few minutes to create and is a perfect statement for any door. Since I  cultivate my own plants for dried wreaths, swags, and garlands, I had plenty of sorghum laying around...but, you can purchase a variety of Sorghums, like broom corn, at your local farmer's markets and garden shops this time of year. Create this large swag by clustering stems together with floral wire then covering the wire with a leaf. Gently tuck the leaf into the stems for a seamless look, and voila, you have a statement piece for the season.

Indoors, this swag will last for several years. If displayed on an exterior door, it will remain beautiful for only a several months before fading or being consumed by birds and critters.

Take advantage of nature's bounty and let your home reflect autumn.
