EVENING MIST

Something beckoned me outdoors after the rain. Evening dew and remnants of the previous storm lingered on every blade of grass. A misty vapor drifted through the valley obscuring the farms and mountains. As the fog moved about, the familiar became strangely unfamiliar. I felt as if I was walking in unknown territory that was breathtakingly beautiful and ever-changing all at the same time.

Although available to everyone, fleeting moments like these are easily missed. I'm glad I listened to my inner voice and followed the urge to take a walk and stretch my aching legs.  Nature has a way of rewarding our efforts for getting outdoors.

The most joyful thing I know is the peace and beauty one finds in the countryside.
Wishing you peace today,

Sally
