Chamomile is often used as a calming herb for sleepy time tea, but did you know that it is also relaxing as a bath sachet? Bath sachets can be made with fresh herbs and used immediately.... or you can dry the herbs while the gardens are raging. Then, simply put the herbs into little sachets when the snow is flying and the evenings are longer with more time indulge in a long relaxing bath. A sachet can be as easy as using a nylon stocking or a cotton handkerchief tied with string or raffia. Here is my method below.
CALMING CHAMOMILE BATH SACHET
1/4 Cup chamomile flowers
1/4 Cup lavender flowers
1/4 Cup hop flowers
Combine fresh or dried flowers and place in an old nylon stocking or cloth tied with raffia.
Loop the tie over the faucet so the water runs through the bag as tub fills.
Let Chamomile take you away and the stresses of the day will float away.
