The rising sun glistened on the dewy foliage lining the fence rows. All creation seemed to dance in the dawning light. The earth, cleansed by the night's showers, radiated the scent of sweet honeysuckle and locust blossoms making it a perfect summer morning. I slipped outdoors before the sun crested the mountain to capture this scene of nature's stillness.
Last night's rain cleansed the air and lowered the humidity of the lush valley floor. The creek glistened in the sunlight and the dewy foliage sparkled with water droplets. I paused at the bridge, as if all time had stopped in that moment, recalling the rich heritage of this valley that has a way of keeping old world traditions alive, or is it, that maybe the old ways are really sustaining this beautiful place.
It's good to live slow.
