This week I was prompted to design a natural arrangement that evokes a sense of November's somber beauty. This stunning whisk, displaying wild autumn berries, embodies this concept quite well.
Twisted Bittersweet wrapped tightly with Honeysuckle vine provides the base for the design. A plethora of wild berries drape effortlessly across the form. This berry-like pod dries slowly and clings to its leafless branches making it an excellent material for indoor and outdoor holiday arrangements.
The exact name of this understory shrub that thrives in moist woodland areas remains unknown to me. According to my research it appears to be in the family of American Beautyberry, Callicarpa Dichotoma.
Let your creativity flow.... and make something natural, beautiful, and simple this holiday season.
